Do you ever use anonymous sourcing when writing about business?

"I push my reporters to seek documentation to back up the information offered by those requesting anonymity and I don't encourage them to offer anonymity. We just try our best to find the information elsewhere. Bottom line: we don't use anonymous sources." -Sharyn Flanagan, business editor, The Bucks County (Pa.) Courier Times

"Our paper has a written policy laying out the number of parameters for when they are allowed. Chief among them is the writer must share the names of the sources, and their proximity to the information they offer." -Drew Broach, East Jefferson bureau chief, The Times-Picayune
