Our workshop on Monday in New Orleans will be full of tips for covering the economy and finding local people to illustrate your stories.

This daylong session will be hosted by The Times-Picayune. Presenters are:
Ron Nixon, projects reporter for The New York Times, on Covering the local impact of TARP.
Melissa Preddy, a former business reporter and, editor and columnist for The Detroit News, on using local businesses as a source for signs of recovery.
And myself, Robin Phillips, Web managing editor at BusinessJournalism.org, on using social media tools to find local sources for economic stories.
